Korean Steamed Vegetables with Garlic Sauce




 
‘Simple is the best’, best describes this dish. This is a quick and easy way to eat healthy with the vegetables you have at home. Just steaming vegetables and the result will be amazing! belly fat and inflammation are reduced!


Ingredients:

  • 1 Korean Sweet Potato
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • 1 medium Squash or Zucchini
  • 3~4 Shiitake mushrooms or 3~4 King mushrooms
  • 2 boiled eggs (optional)
Garlic Sauce:
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Perilla oil
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Allulose-more or less


Directions:
  1. Add water to the pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. Cut sweet potato, carrot, squash, King mushrooms into rounds 1 cm thick.
  3. Remove the stems from the shiitake mushrooms if using.
  4. Cut the root of king mushrooms if using.
  5. When the water in the pot boils, place the steamer on the pot.
  6. Arrange the sweet potato in a single layer of steamer, covered for 4 minutes.
  7. Open the lid and add carrot, covered for 1 minute.
  8. Add squash and steam for 1 more minute, then add mushrooms and cover  and steam for 1 more minute. * Steam 1 or 2 more minutes for softer vegetables.
  9. In a bowl, combine garlic, soy sauce, oil, allulose to make sauce.
  10. Turn off the heat. Remove the steamer from the pot and mix with sauce and serve
