Homemade Apple Jam

Apple Jam – Quick, homemade preservatives free, pectin free jam recipe with apples! This apple jam is very easy to make with in few minutes.



Ingredients


  • 2 cups peeled, cored and finely diced apples. (1 large apple)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2/3 ~ 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • juice of a lemon, divided


Directions



  1. Mix 1/2 of lemon juice with diced apples to prevent the apples from turning brown
  2. To a small pot, Combine apples and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for approx. 10 minutes, or until apples are soft. Drain apple into the colander, then transfer the apples to a food processor on pulse for 1 minute.
  3. Place apple puree in a saucepan and add the sugar (1/3 cup at a time), cinnamon and lemon juice.  Stirring frequently, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, still stirring, until mixture thickens and holds it’s shape on a spoon about 20 min. 
  4. Keep refrigerated in an airtight jar.
