Crispy Air Fryer Chickpeas

 


Ingredients:

  • 15 oz can of  Garbanzo beans
  • Olive Oil spray
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper powder
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast (optional)


Direction:

  1. Drain chickpeas in a colander and rinse them and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400 F, and set the timer for 15 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, combine all the spices and mix well, then set aside.
  4. Place the chickpeas in the air fryer and cook 5 minutes to be dried.
  5. Spray chickpeas with olive oil and close the air fryer basket and continue the cooking cycle, shaking about every 5 minutes,
  6. When there are about 5 minutes left, add seasoning combination; toss to coat.
  7. Continue to cook for the last 5 minutes or more until crispy, and then take the chickpeas out.
  8. After completely cooling, store crispy chickpeas in a jar or bowl, without a lid, to preserve the crispiness.

  • Cajun seasoning
  • Curry powder
