Rich, chocolatey, smooth and creamy chocolate frosting – with vegan, gluten free, and keto options included.
Ingredients;
- 2 oz chocolate chips
- 1/ cup butter, or Vegan options such as Melt, Miyokos
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 8 oz cream cheese, Mascarpone or vegan cream cheese
- 2-3 cups powdered sugar, or erythritol for keto
- 3-4 Tbsp milk of choice
Directions:
- Let cream cheese and butter come to room temperature.
- Microwave chocolate in the Microwave-safe bowl for 30 secs on High and stir with spatula. Repeat with 10 to 15 secs blasts until most of the chocolate is melted.
- Remove the chocolate from microwave and keep stirring until the residual heat melts the rest of the chocolate.
- Mix all ingredients in the mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer or stand mixer.
- If too thick, very slowly add more milk of choice. If too thin, add additional powdered sugar.
- Cover and refrigerate leftover frosting for up to a week
